Our Lady of Mount Carmel festival the Giglio festival aka the Italian feast. Is one of the few staples to look forward to in the section of Brooklyn called Williamsburg every. The carnival takes place every July. Many changes have occurred in Williamsburg, but one thing you know for sure and everyone looks forward to is that the second week of July. The festival begins and will last approximately two weeks. Many of the venders remain the same throughout the years. There are a few things you must have if you attend. 1. Steak, cheese with onions & peppers, or sausage & peppers from Lucy's food truck, trust me It is the real. Directly across from Lucy's truck you will always find the best zeppoles make sure, they add a ton of powdered sugar. Eat the zeppoles immediately that is when they are the most flavor. Then take your chance with the Italian fruit peel game cards. $1.00 gets you four cards. Play a few carnival games, listen to the KTU style dj in front of the bingo hall. Lastly, just stand in the center of all four corners & absorb the culture & this will give you a sense of what Williamsburg once was.
